I have had a few requests to post some WIP progress shots from start to end, like I did with the Bull Dragon I did. So, I figured I would post progress shots of this one. Now please remember, this is my way of progress, not necessarily the right way :)

The base is made of WED clay with internal structure and post for the dragon to insert into. Here starts the dragons armature.

Ultimately I would like to see this as a bronze.
The dragon is 13" long from toes to the highest point of his neck.
It will be sculpted in sculpey and epoxy clay.

u sure know it, but really better use some stabilazation at the middle of the back or higher. or u will be more busy to hold it firm with the hands in place, rather than working at it actually.

I dont sculpt it on this base, I only posed it on there. I attach the armature to a support rod posted on a wooden base to sculpt it.
