Bugbear Brute bust-soon with a helmet! by AntWatkins Bugbear Brute bust-soon with a helmet! by AntWatkins
I decided to revisit this sculpt...I just need to clean up any rough spots, then I will make molds. Then I will take the first casting and sculpt a removable that I have designed for him! More to come soon...

Hey man, great work! Had a question, when you mass out your sculpts do you build up the mass with aluminum foil on top of the wire frame and then add the sculpy or do you just build straight off the wire frame with the scuply?

Thanks!
Actually, the clay I used here is Monster Clay. It is an oil and wax based clay, in my opinion SO much easier to sculpt with. With sculpey, I would do exactly as you said, armature wire and buildup with foil. With Monster Clay, I just use one piece of armature wire, and build right from that. Thde Monster Clay is much firmer than sculpey.

Ah ok cool, I'll have to check it out. Never worked with Monster clay before. Thanks for the input and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

What did you use for his teeth?

I made the teeth with super sculpey, then baked them for easier working around them.

That's very clever. I may have to try that some time.
Thank you.
